Malaysia is slapped with the lowest ranking in the US's annual Trafficking of Persons report just a few days ago

basically this means traffickers are having a great time here, being able to get away with the proliferation (in the millions!) of human trafficking while we dungus wait for our foreign workers and maids to run off somewhere after spending tons of ringgits on them. damn, are they smart or what?! Ps if you think being at the lowest ranking tier in the Report means nothing to you and me, you couldn't be more wrong: it means Malaysia will need visa to enter a lot of countries, as opposed to, say, Singapore. Yeap!

According to Giammarinaro, who is the UN’s special rapporteur on trafficking in persons, particularly women and children, there are an estimated two million documented and two million or more undocumented migrant workers in Malaysia.

That's half and half documented vs undocumented migrants workers!! In the millions!! If you're not worried now you should, cause somewhere around some corner around the house, these guys are left with nobody to take care of them and would do anything to survive... Anything.

“The vulnerable situation of migrant workers is often exploited for labour trafficking by unscrupulous recruitment agents and employers, through deception of work, poor working conditions and salaries, passport confiscation, payment of excessive fees (to recruitment agents), debt bondage, non-payment of salaries, lack of rest days, contractual breaches, excessive working hours, and physical or sexual abuse or both,” she said.

ie, the traffickers fuck the migrant workers by fucking with people like you and me right after we pay a hefty sum to bring them down and pay for their documents etc, then with their rolls of cash in their pockets live a ballin' life, kinda like Jho Low. i bet your ass this is true and the gomen will hv to do something Abt this 

She urged the Government to crack down on wayward agencies, stating that its responsibilities include checking on agencies on a regular basis and punishing them if necessary.

 and suddenly it all makes sense why the government keeps insisting to close the counters at the immigration centre! To stop those damn traffickers/shady agencies from illegally creating documents for their "stock" at the immigration counters. heh if i was one of the immigration officers and id be earning a few hundred bucks by forging the documentation... I'd go why not kan? damn, the more i think about it, the more i wonder how big this level of corruption actually is...
